Arsenal XI vs Brentford: Team News Possible Lineup

Arsenal are back to the Emirates on Saturday afternoon for a London derby against Brentford in the Premier League.

Arteta have confirmed that both Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe remain out of meeting with Brentford.

“They have started to some activities and have been outside but they are not ready yet to contribute,” he said.

Arsenal’s number nine Gabriel Jesus has now returned to the London Colney training centre as he steps up his recovery from a

knee injury, but manager Mikel Arteta says it is too early to put a timeline on his first-team return.

Jesus has not played for the Gunners since November, having suffered a knee injury while on international duty with Brazil at the World Cup.

So far, however, Eddie Nketiah has done a fine job of deputising, scoring four times in six League starts since the winter break.

Arteta:

Gabi’s doing really well, he’s already been outside a little bit.

It’s still early stages and he keeps pushing everybody every single day.

We need to respect timelines and processes but he’s doing really well.

“He’s still too far from [a return date]. You see now when you put loads through that knee and get some movement and actions,

they’re not as controlled as the ones he has been doing. [You have to see] how the knee reacts.”

Meanwhile Mohamed Elneny is expected to miss the rest of the season after going under the knife.

Arsenal Possible Lineup:

Ramsdale;

White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko;

Odegaard, Partey, Xhaka;

Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli
