Callum Hudson-Odoi (back) is also still sidelined, along with long-term absentee Ben Chilwell (knee).

“For N’Golo the match comes a little too early,” the German said on Friday.

“Jorgi is out as well, so these two we are missing.

And Callum [Hudson-Odoi] and Ben Chilwell are still out. The rest are available.”

Mateo Kovacic is set to replace Jorginho in midfield alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek, while Hakim Ziyech is pushing to start after impressing off the bench against Everton.

Romelu Lukaku was left on the bench at Goodison Park when Chelsea were chasing an equaliser.

Tuchel said on Friday:

“He has trained very well and maybe he starts tomorrow, let’s see.”

Asked what Lukaku needs to do to change his fortunes at Chelsea,

“I don’t know what needs to happen. He needs to happen, everyone needs to happen.

This is the life of a footballer at this level. It needs to happen, he needs to happen and we have to support him.”

Predicted Chelsea XI (3-4-3):

Mendy;

Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger;

James, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Alonso;
