Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Ben Chilwell will be part of his Premier League squad this season.
The Blues are set to confirm their final Premier League line-up on Friday, and there is much uncertainty surrounding Chilwell, who has been widely tipped to leave Chelsea this summer, as Maresca said he likes the unusual shape of the left back.
Chilwell was threatened with limbo after failing to make a summer exit, but Maresca has now confirmed he will remain in the first team.
Asked if Chilwell would be in the 25-man squad for Friday, Maresca said: “Yes.”
The head coach continued: “Maybe he will come back for training, we will see, because at the moment he is not training with us.”
“The reason he trained separately was because he thought of leaving her, but since we couldn’t find a solution, he might train with us. Now, if we decide, we will he left. , he is not training with us, but I saw him today.
Another player who has returned from the cold is midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka who, like Chilwell, was forced by Maresca to leave Chelsea. “I’ve told him and you at the conference: I like Carney,” Marska said. “The problem is that many of our attackers struggle to find space. With his injury history, the best thing for him is to go and prove to himself that he is ready and can He’ll play 30 or 35 games and then come back here.
However, a solution was not found and now he is one of our players and we can use him.
