Inter Milan Sign Mkhitaryan After Roma Contract Expires

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has joined Inter on a free transfer having left Roma at the end of his contract.

Mkhitaryan enjoyed a successful spell in the Italian capital after leaving the Premier League,

culminating in winning the inaugural Europa Conference League at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

Roma had tried to negotiate a new deal with one of their star performers in recent years but failed to agree terms,

and he has now joined their Serie A rivals Inter after his contract expired at the end of June.

The Armenian made 14 goal contributions last term, although his most productive season came in 2020/21 where he scored 15 times and laid on 13 more.

Very happy to join such a great club,” Mkhitaryan tweeted.

“Will do my best and give my all to help the team achieve our goals.

Mkhitraryan is Inter’s fourth signing of the summer after striker Romelu Lukaku returned from Chelsea, goalkeeper Andre Onana signed from Ajax and midfielder Kristjan Asllani joined from Empoli.
