However, according to The Athletic, Leao has now come to an agreement with Ac Milan over a contract which will run until the summer of 2028.

However, the superstar Rafael Leao is injured and probably wont even make the bench for tonight’s Champions League semifinal first leg Ac Milan against Inter Milan.

Leao injured himself in the first half during AC Milan’s impressive 2-0 win over Lazio in the Serie A this past weekend forcing him to come off.

Since then it has been reported that the Portuguese international winger has suffered an elongation of his right abductor muscle.

Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli claimed yesterday that he had to look up the injury on Google, as the he considered the terminology of Leao’s injury to be confusing.

Stefano Pioli:

“I too searched for the word ‘elongation’ on Google when the results of the exams came out.

He’ll be here tomorrow [today] morning and try to overcome it. He could even play, but only if he’s OK.

“Either he plays or he won’t be selected for the bench, it will depend on the intensity of the work he’ll be able to do.

Based on the characteristics of the player, Leao is someone who must be 100% to make the difference.”

“We must put a great team effort worthy of the Champions League semifinal.

We have been a team suffering and struggling. Something extraordinary will be needed.”
