FOOTBALL TRANSFER GOSSIP:

  • Paris St-Germain are desperate to prise away Manchester City‘s Spanish manager Pep Guardiola, 52, from the Premier League champions.

 

  • Ilkay Gundogan has defended his team mate Erling Haaland and insisted that he is a good fit for Manchester City after Jamie Carragher suggested that the Norwegian forward may have “picked the wrong club” last week
  • Paul Merson  believes that Liverpool selling Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich has been their most costly error this season.

  • Newcastle are plotting a move to sign Lazio and Serbia midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, 27, whose contract expires in 2024.

 

  • Manchester United are interested in signing Roma’s Argentina forward Paulo Dybala, 29.
