FOOTBALL TRANSFER GOSSIP:

  • Arsenal have had a £55m bid for Mykhailo Mudryk rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk, who are demanding a fee of around £85m for their star man.

 

  • Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are interested in signing 34-year-old Argentina centre-back Nicolas Otamendi, who will be out of contract at Benfica in the summer.

 

  • Newcastle have made Chelsea midfielder Jorginho their “prime transfer target”. The Italian is about to enter the final six months of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
  • Everton have yet to sign off the five-year contract that has been agreed with England keeper Jordan Pickford, 28, and that has alerted Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham.
