FOOTBALL TRANSFER GOSSIP:

  • Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to offer a lifeline to Manchester United captain Harry Maguire this summer.

 

  • Manchester United have added Chelsea’s Mason Mount to a list of attacking midfield targets including Jude Bellingham, who could prove too expensive if Erik ten Hag devotes the bulk of his summer budget to a move for Harry Kane.
  • Tottenham will discuss the merits of both Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel as potential managerial successors to Conte, with whom the club are set to part company.
  • Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, 25, has distanced himself from a potential move to Manchester United, saying he is “very happy at Barcelona”.
