Harry Kane opened the scoring against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Monday night in what was his 266th goal for the club in 415 appearances.

It’s over a decade since Kane scored his first Tottenham goal, coming off the bench in the Europa League against Shamrock Rovers in December 2011 and scoring late on.

Harry Kane has won the Premier League Golden Boot 3x, with 199 of his 266 Spurs goals coming in the League.

He has scored 15 times in the FA Cup, on seven occasions in the League Cup and 45 times in Europe.

With just one more goal needed to break Greaves’ record, the Premier League goalscoring record will be the next target for Kane, with Alan Shearer’s mark of 260 goals likely to be within range in the next few seasons.

Kane has been linked with a £80m move to United in the January transfer window with the England captain having entered the final 18 months of his deal at Spurs.

The 29-year-old, though, is reportedly open to signing a new contract with Tottenham.

Antonio Conte Backed Harry Kane To Come Back Stronger.

Kane has missed penaltie, but if anyone was reliable on the big stage, it was him.

Meanwhile his coach Antonio Conte has backed him to put his penalty miss behind him as Tottenham return to Premier League action.

The England captain, who equalled Wayne Rooney’s all-time record of 53 goals for the Three Lions at the World Cup, could not convert

his second spot-kick of the game as Gareth Southgate’s fell to beaten finalists France at the quarter-final stage.

Usually so reliable from the spot, it was one of only 11 penalties the 29-year-old has failed to score in 69 attempts.

Kane is eyeing a quick-fire return to club duty and is in line to feature against London rivals

Brentford at Boxing Day as the Spurs star looks to lead their Champions League push in the second half of the season.

“Hugo [Lloris] lost the final and, instead, Cuti [Cristian Romero] won the final,” said the Spurs boss.

“For Harry, he missed a penalty, but I think he played a really good World Cup.

“For sure, they have to try and put to one side this experience.”

Conte’s side sit fourth in the Premier League table, three points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United but having played one more game.

Harry Kane Could Get Yellow Card As FIFA Banned OneLove Armband At World Cup

The FA are seeking urgent clarification from FIFA over the potential consequences of Harry Kane wearing the ‘OneLove’ armband in Monday’s World Cup opener against Iran.

There’s a reports that players who wear it could be booked before kick-off.

On the eve of England’s first game in Group B, the FA is understood to have been informed by

FIFA that Kane is not permitted to wear the armband which is designed to promote diversity and inclusion.

Wearing the rainbow-coloured armband holds even more significance at the World Cup in Qatar,

where homosexuality is illegal, and seven other European nations, including Wales, are also intending to make the same statement as England.

However, just days before the tournament began, FIFA notified countries of their own

armbands which were to be worn by captains for each game and included phrases such as

‘football unites the world’, ‘share the meal’ and ‘bring the moves’.

An anti-discrimination armband was not included until the the quarter-final stage.

Under FIFA’s current laws, ‘no item [of playing kit or other clothing or equipment or otherwise]

may be worn or used in any controlled area if Fifa considers that it is dangerous, offensive or indecent, includes political, religious, or

personal slogans, statements, or images, or otherwise does not comply in full with the laws of the game’.

Players who go against that could receive a yellow card but Kane is adamant that he will wear the armband for England’s opening game against Iran on Monday.

‘We’ve made it clear as a team and a staff and organisation that we want to wear the armband.’

‘I know the FA are talking to FIFA at the moment, and I’m sure by game-time tomorrow they will have their decision.

I think we’ve made it clear that we want to wear it.’

Holland captain Virgil van Dijk, whose side face Senegal on Monday, alluded to the risk of a booking for wearing the armband.

Meanwhile, Netherlands captain Virgil van Dijk insists he will also wear the armband for his side’s first game in Group A against Senegal on Monday.

Van Dijk:

‘Nothing changed from our point of view.’

‘If I will get a yellow card for wearing it then we would have to discuss it because I don’t like to play while being on a yellow [card].’

FA chief executive Mark Bullingham told Sky News:

‘They haven’t given us any response to our letter.

‘I think there’s a possibility that we might be fined. And if we are, then we’ll pay the fine.

‘We think it’s really important to show our values. And that’s what we’ll be doing.’

Meanwhile, German FA chief Bernd Neuendorf hit out at FIFA for proposing an alternative just days before the start of the tournament.

‘We will stay with the European position,’ he told ZDF.

‘We will play with it and tomorrow England, Wales and the Netherlands will play with it.

‘Fifa came up with their own armband idea just two days ago. That’s was not acceptable for us.

‘England have played with the ‘One Love’ armband already and the captains of the teams said they will play with it.

So we could not agree with FIFA on this point.’

Harry Kane Breaks Premier League Goal Record With Header Against Wolves

Harry Kane has broken Sergio Aguero’s record for the most Premier League goals scored for one club.

Kane stooped to head Spurs into the lead in Saturday’s early kick-off against Wolves, after Ivan Perisic did well to flick a poor corner on at the near post.

The goal was Kane’s 185th in the Premier League for Spurs, taking him past the 184 goals that Aguero scored during his time with Manchester City.

Wayne Rooney sits third on the list with 183 goals for Manchester United, Thierry Henry

fourth with 175 goals for Arsenal and Alan Shearer fifth – he netted 148 goals of the 260 he scored in the Premier League era for hometown club Newcastle United.

Kane’s Premier League debut for Spurs came during the 2012/13 season, but he didn’t establish himself as a first team regular until 2014/15.

He scored 21 Premier League goals that year, flourishing under Mauricio Pochettino’s management, before scoring 25, 29 and 30 goals in the following three seasons.

He has managed at least 17 goals in every Premier League campaign since, and has three Premier League Golden Boot wins to his name.

Kane has also won the Premier League Player of the Month award seven times, most recently in March 2022 – the first time in 51 months that he’d earned the accolade.

‘Let’s See What Happens’ Bayern Munich Chief Executive Oliver Kahn Addresses Transfer Interest In Harry Kane

Bayern Munich chief executive Oliver Kahn has addressed the club’s interest in Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Kane has been linked with a move away from Spurs for some time and publically angled for a transfer to Manchester City last summer only to end up staying put.

Standard Sport understands Kane is open to discussing a new contract with the club.

Bayern have been credited with interest this summer having lost Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona,

but Kahn was coy when asked if the German giants could make a move this summer or next.

“He is under contract at Tottenham,” he told Bild.

“Sure, he is an absolute top striker, but that’s all a dream of the future.

“So let’s see what happens.”

But every club has a certain philosophy and I’m not sure if it would be the right signal for Bayern if we signed him.”

Harry Kane: Erling Haaland And Darwin Nunez In The Premier League Will Only Make Me A Better Player

Tottenham striker Harry Kane says the arrivals in the Premier League of Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland will drive him on to become a better player.

On Monday morning, Manchester City finally confirmed the arrival of Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in a £51million deal,

while Benfica announced on Sunday night that they have agreed the £64m transfer of Nunez to Liverpool.

The pair scored 63 club goals between them last season and seem set to make catching last season’s top two an even more daunting task for the chasing pack, including Kane’s Tottenham.

On a personal level, however, the England captain is welcoming the new arrivals and will

look to outdo the pair as he chases a fourth Premier League Golden Boot.

“The battle for the Golden Boot is always tough, the Premier League has produced some top strikers around the world for a number of years now,” .

“Every season I’ve been playing it’s always been a tough battle.

“You expect the top strikers to want to play in the Premier League and with those two new signings it’s going to be the case.

It helps me as a player to have good competition, it drives me to improve and get better so, for sure, I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

Kane has scored 183 Premier League goals across his career and has long been earmarked

as having the potential to surpass Alan Shearer’s mark of 260.

More immediately, Wayne Rooney’s all-time England record of 53 goals is within sight after the Spurs striker scored a landmark 50th goal against Germany last week.

The 28-year-old could move closer in Tuesday night’s Nations League clash with Hungary at

Molineux, ahead of which Gareth Southgate has been urging the rest of his squad to ease the goalscoring burden on Kane and fellow forward Raheem Sterling.

Kane, however, says the country’s reliance on his goals is not overly daunting.

“As a striker, of course you have that expectation on yourself and I think the team have a bit of expectation on you as well to produce.”

“I enjoy it, I enjoy scoring goals for sure and winning games.

“There’s no pressure from the other players in terms of making me feel nervous about scoring goals or anything like that.

We all know our responsibilities and our jobs, I try and take that responsibility as one of the experienced players and I just enjoy scoring goals.”

Men's 2021/22 PFA Players' Player Of The Year - Yhe Nominees

Cristiano Ronaldo is a surprise inclusion on the shortlist of nominees for the 2021/22 Men’s PFA Player of the Year award.

The Portuguese superstar has been included despite Manchester United enduring their

worst-ever Premier League campaign, while Son Heung-min has been overlooked having shared the Golden Boot with Mohamed Salah.

Despite his team’s overall struggles, Ronaldo still scored 18 league goals and provided a further three assists.

Salah is among the nominees, alongside his Liverpool teammates Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk.

The Egyptian has already been named the PFA Premier League Fans’ Player of the Year for 2021/22.

Meanwhile, midfield dynamo Kevin De Bruyne is the only representative from the title-winning Manchester City squad.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been named Premier League player of the month for a seventh time, equalling former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero’s record.

Aguero, who retired in December, won the last of his seven monthly awards in January 2020.

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is next on the list with six.

The award, which has been running since 1994, was first won by Tottenham striker Jurgen Klinsmann.

Last month England captain Kane surpassed Wayne Rooney’s record for the most away goals in the Premier League, scoring his 95th in Spurs’ 2-0 win over Brighton.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta won the manager of the month award for the second time this season as the Gunners moved into the top four with three wins out of four.

Harry Kane: Tottenham See Man Utd Clash As ‘Opportunity’ In Champions League Race

England striker Harry Kane says Tottenham sense “an opportunity” against Manchester United on Saturday following the 5-0 win over Everton.

The match at Old Trafford could be crucial in the race for Champions League football,

with Spurs just two points behind United – and with two games in hand

– after Kane scored twice in the 5-0 hammering of the Toffees, while United were well beaten by neighbours Man City.

Man United beat Nuno Espirito Santo’s Spurs 3-0 in October, leading the Portuguese to be sacked and replaced by Antonio Conte,

and Kane says the players feel there is an opportunity for revenge at Old Trafford this weekend.

Kane said:

“United are still one of the best teams in the league.”

“Obviously they have come off a disappointing result at the weekend.

“There is always going to be a reaction and a bounce-back from their players and we need to make sure we are ready for that.

“We obviously feel that there is an opportunity for us there because we have had a great result and we could try to use that momentum,

especially away from home, against their crowd. But it will be a tough game. They have got some great players.

“They beat us earlier on in the season quite comfortably – we have got to have all that in our heads,

we have got to make sure we go with the right mindset.

It’s a game we are looking forward to. Old Trafford away is one of the best games you play in the league and you have got to be excited.

You have got to go there and try to be free and put in another good performance.”

Spurs go into the match with three wins from their last four in the League

– the stunning 3-2 win at City and the thrashings of Leeds and Everton.

But sandwiched in between have been the disappointing defeats to Burnley and at Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.

Kane says their recent wins have been “up there” with the best performances he has been involved in for Spurs but insists there is still work to do.

Kane when asked about Burnley and ‘Boro.:

“Our aim – to make sure that sort of [defeat] doesn’t happen again.”

“There have been high performances all round – not just me but the whole team has played really, really well.

“It’s hard to say it is the best football we have played

– we have had some great managers over the years and played some great football.

But beating Everton 5-0 and beating City away from home are right up there, fantastic results.

“And results that should give us confidence.

But like the manager has said, we still need to keep improving and we still need to keep working hard.

It is great having nights like this but we have got to prove ourselves over the last 12 games.

We have got to make sure our mindset is right – and that is what we are trying to do.

“There is still improvement to be had. Obviously, we have had some great games but we have also had some disappointing games as well.

I guess we will see over the next 12 games where we are as a team and where we are as a squad.

“Where we finish in the league will be the ultimate test. I still think we are looking for improvement in all areas.

We are definitely not the finished article yet.

It is important that we understand that and have the mindset for that – otherwise in this league you can be punished. It is important that we don’t.”

Antonio Conte Promises To Deliver Trophies To Harry Kane & Tottenham

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has voiced his determination to end Harry Kane’s long wait to win a trophy at Tottenham.

Kane asked to leave the Tottenham last summer in the hope of joining a serial-winner like Manchester City.

But his exit wish was denied and those in charge at Tottenham now hope that Conte can convince the striker to stay.

His affection for the club is not in question, but at 28 years old, Kane has grown frustrated at the lack of success in his career – something Conte hopes to rectify soon.

“I knew the situation in the summer and, when Harry decided to stay in Tottenham, I found a player totally involved in this project.

If we want to think to build something to win, Harry must be a starting point.”

“I understand Harry’s situation.

When you finish your career, you can see your appearances and the teams you made them for but, at the same time, it’s right to see what you have won.

This is important, especially for the top, top players.

“I think that when Tottenham brought me here they wanted to send a signal outside, and maybe also to our players.

We have to try to build a situation where we are all involved and to try to create a situation that we can be competitive to try to win.”

Kane received a similar text message from former boss Jose Mourinho at the start of his reign in November 2019.

The boss vowed to deliver silverware to Tottenham but was sacked in April 2021, six days before Spurs lost in the Carabao Cup final to City.

Conte hopes that things play out a little differently this time around, and Kane’s goals will be crucial to that.

The England captain endured a poor start to the campaign but appears to have rediscovered his shooting boots, netting three goals in his last four Premier League appearances.

A run of eight games without defeat has seen Spurs climb up to sixth in the league table.

And they could rise as high as fourth if they win their two games in hand.
