‘He Has Pace, Aggressive’_ Takehiro Tomiyasu Names Arsenal Team Mate He Fears In Training.

Arsenal right back Takehiro Tomiyasu reveals the Gunners team-mate he least likes to face in training, highlighting his “aggression”.

The Japanese defender would have plenty of options to choose from in the Gunners squad, with a number of young attacking talents at Mikel Arteta’s disposal.

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard have both in superb form this season,

as was Gabriel Jesus before his season-disrupting injury at the World Cup, but it is another Brazilian that Tomiyasu plumped for.

Martinelli has been in superb form for the Gunners this season, netting seven goals and providing two assists in the Premier League. Only captain Martin Odegaard has more goals (eight).

Tomiyasu names “aggressive” Arsenal star
Speaking to GOAL, Tomiyasu replied: “Gabriel Martinelli. He never stops.

He has pace, aggression. He’s still young, but when he has the ball he wants to make the difference, he wants to do something.’

Tomiysasu has featured regularly this season, but often as a substitute, making just four Premier League starts so far this campaign.

With the emergence of William Saliba at centre-back, Ben White has been moved to right-back and taken the Japanese star’s spot in that position.

The 24-year-old, of course, would rather be starting regularly, but accepts the competition for places, especially with Arsenal doing so well at the top of the Premier League.

He said:

‘You have to accept the reality.’ ‘Ben White has been doing very well. He is fantastic.

‘Of course I want to play from the start. The only thing I can do is prove my value on the pitch and show what I can do.

‘I just want to help the team. It doesn’t matter if I’m playing from the start or not. When I’m on the pitch I give everything.’

Arsenal hoping to extend the lead at the top when they are facing Everton in an early kick on Saturday.
