Tottenham's Ange Postecoglou: Sacking Decision Already Made?

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly made the decision to sack manager Ange Postecoglou, regardless of the team’s performance in the Europa League.

According to former Spurs scout Mick Brown, Levy has already begun assessing potential replacements, and the only question remaining is whether Postecoglou will be allowed to see out the rest of the season.

Postecoglou’s Future Uncertain

Despite Postecoglou’s initial promise to “always win things in my second year,” Tottenham’s season has been a disaster, with the team currently sitting 15th in the Premier League.

A 4-2 loss to Wolves last weekend further compounded the misery, and it seems unlikely that Spurs will sneak into the European places at this late stage.

Europa League Glory Won’t Save Postecoglou

Even if Tottenham were to triumph in the Europa League, it appears that Postecoglou’s fate is already sealed.

Brown claims that Levy has made up his mind, and the only decision left is when to announce it.

“The pressure has been on Postecoglou all season,” Brown said. “Every week people are speculating about when he will be sacked, and at this stage, it feels inevitable that he will go at some stage.”

Spurs Already Looking for Postecoglou’s Replacement

According to Brown, Tottenham has already begun looking for Postecoglou’s replacement, with Levy having “plenty of ideas” on the direction he wants to take the club.

The decision to sack Postecoglou seems to be driven by a breakdown in his relationship with the club and the fans, making his position in the dugout untenable.

What’s Next for Postecoglou?

As Tottenham prepares to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League quarter-final, Postecoglou’s future hangs in the balance.

Will he be given the chance to see out the season, or will Levy pull the plug sooner? The answer remains to be seen.
