Osimhen is the new face of Galatasaray since his loan move from Napoli in the summer transfer window. When he joined the club, he was expected to be a big part of the club due to his previous success in Serie A.
However, after three games, the 25-year-old striker has yet to find the back of the net, despite racking up four assists.
However, Osimhen eventually lost in Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa on Saturday. The Nigerian opened the scoring in the 20th minute and added another goal just 8 minutes later.
Unfortunately for Osimhen, he was taken off in the second half after taking a knock. Galatasaray conceded in the second half with a 3-3 draw.
After the match, Osimhen took to social media to express his joy at opening his account for the club. He also appreciated the support of the fans.
“It was a great honor to score two goals in today’s match, but I was disappointed that we couldn’t secure the victory. We gave it our all and I’m sure we will come back stronger as a team,” Osimhen wrote on Instagram.
“Dear Galatasaray fans, your support means the world to us and we will not stop fighting to make you all proud. Thank you for your cheers and incredible love. We are just getting started!”
Osimhen hopes that his injury is not too serious so that he can return to the field as soon as possible. Galatasaray’s next match is a Europa League match at the RFS.
