Transfer News: Newcastle Set £20m Asking Price for Lloyd Kelly Amid Fenerbahce Interest

Newcastle United have slapped a £20m price tag on defender Lloyd Kelly, dealing a significant blow to Fenerbahce’s hopes of signing the 26-year-old.

The Turkish giants had expressed interest in Kelly, with vice-president Acun Ilicali confirming talks were underway.

However, Newcastle’s valuation is likely to deter Fenerbahce, who may now turn their attention to Aston Villa’s Diego Carlos.

Newcastle Reject Initial Offer

The Magpies had already rejected an £11m transfer offer for Kelly, who is under contract until 2029.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe played down the suggestion that Kelly could leave before the transfer window shuts, but the defender’s limited playing time may force him to consider his options.

Kelly has made just four starts in nine Premier League appearances since joining Newcastle on a free transfer from Bournemouth last summer.

Aston Villa Agree Andres Garcia Deal

Aston Villa are close to signing Levante right-back Andres Garcia, having reached an agreement with the Segunda Division side.

The deal is worth €7m (£5.9m), with the potential to rise by €2m (£1.7m) depending on certain conditions. Garcia will compete with Matty Cash for the right-back spot, and his arrival could lead to Kosta Nedeljkovic being loaned out.

Wilfried Zaha Set for MLS Move

Former Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha is on the verge of joining Charlotte FC on loan from Galatasaray.

The 32-year-old attacker has flown to the United States to finalize the move, which will see him join the team managed by former Aston Villa boss Dean Smith.
