Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has revealed that three players picked up knocks during their 1-0 Premier League victory over Manchester United on Sunday.
Kevin Danso, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Son Heung-min were all forced off the pitch, but Postecoglou has downplayed the severity of their injuries.
“He [Danso] got a knock on his knee. Him, Sonny, and Rodri all got sort of knocks.
I don’t think it’s anything significant,” Postecoglou said in his post-match press conference.
Tottenham’s Injury Update
While Danso, Bentancur, and Son are expected to recover quickly, Tottenham will still be without several key players for their next match against Ipswich Town on February 22.
Timo Werner is back in training after a thigh injury but may not be risked against Ipswich. Centre-backs Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero have been ruled out for another couple of weeks with thigh problems.
Dominic Solanke (knee) and Richarlison (calf) are expected to return at the beginning of March, but Radu Dragusin has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury.
Tottenham’s Fitness Situation Improving
Despite the injuries, Tottenham’s fitness situation is improving, with several key players returning to the pitch.
