Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that the club is actively seeking attacking reinforcements in the January transfer window.
This comes after Gabriel Jesus suffered a season-ending ACL injury, exacerbating the team’s striker crisis.
Arteta Confirms Search for New Striker
Arteta confirmed the news in a post-match interview with TNT Sports, stating, “Yes, for sure, because we lost two big players.
Bukayo [Saka] who could be out for up to three months, and then Gabby [Jesus] who will be out for a long, long, long time.

We are going to try [in this window] for sure. We are actively looking. We will try. Let’s see what we can get.”
Arsenal’s Striker Options Limited
With Kai Havertz struggling to find form and Raheem Sterling also failing to score against Tottenham, Arsenal’s need for a new striker has become increasingly pressing.
The club’s options are limited, with Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri both sidelined with injuries.
Potential Transfer Targets
Arsenal’s search for a new striker has led to speculation about several potential targets.
Dusan Vlahovic, currently at Juventus, is one option, although the Italian club has already rejected one approach from Arsenal. Lille’s Jonathan David is another possibility, with his contract set to expire in the summer.
Arteta’s Assessment of the Tottenham Win
Despite the win over Tottenham, Arteta acknowledged that his team made it harder for themselves than necessary.
“We made it harder for ourselves. I think we deserved to score at least one or two more, but we had to suffer.
We showed that we have the capacity to do that too. The attitude, the purpose, and intensity that the players played with was really good,” he said.
