Bournemouth Defender Dean Huijsen Flattered by Real Madrid Interest

Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen has expressed his pride and honor at being linked with a move to Real Madrid, one of the biggest clubs in the world.

The 19-year-old Dutch-Spanish defender has been in impressive form for Bournemouth this season, helping the Cherries push for European football.

Huijsen’s Rise to Prominence

Huijsen joined Bournemouth from Juventus in a £15m deal last summer and has quickly established himself as a key player at the Vitality Stadium.

He has made the most clearances (126) and headed clearances (62) of any teenager across Europe’s top-five leagues this season, showcasing his defensive prowess.

Real Madrid Interest

Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Huijsen, who has revealed that he would be open to joining the Spanish giants in the future.

“It’s an honor when you hear about Real Madrid interest, I’m proud to have such a big club interested in me,” Huijsen said in an interview with Relevo.

Huijsen’s Idol and Inspiration

Huijsen has cited Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos as his idol and has even emulated Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration after scoring his first goal for Roma during a loan spell last season.

Real Madrid’s Defensive Needs

Real Madrid are expected to enter the market for a new centre-back this summer, following an injury setback to Eder Militao and the departure of Nacho Fernandez last summer.

Huijsen’s impressive form and versatility could make him an attractive option for Los Blancos.
