Chelsea Close in on Samu Omorodion Deal.
Chelsea are in advanced talks to sign Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion in a deal worth around £35 million.
The 20-year-old Spanish striker has been cleared to leave Atletico after the club secured Julian Alvarez from Manchester City for £81 million.
Omorodion, who has impressed at the Olympics with Spain, scored eight goals in 35 La Liga appearances on loan at Alaves last season.

Chelsea are keen to strengthen their attacking options, and Omorodion is seen as a promising talent.
The deal is separate from Conor Gallagher‘s impending move to Atletico Madrid, with the midfielder set to undergo a medical and sign a five-year contract.
Gallagher’s departure is part of a larger exodus of Chelsea academy graduates, with Trevoh Chalobah and Armando Broja also expected to leave.
Chelsea remain interested in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, but Omorodion is seen as a viable alternative.
The Blues will continue to negotiate with Atletico, who are also pursuing Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra, although this deal is not expected to impact Gallagher’s transfer.
