Chelsea Transfer News: West Ham United Eyeing Out-of-Favor Duo Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka

Chelsea’s fringe players Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka have reportedly caught the attention of London rivals West Ham United.

The Hammers are said to be monitoring the situations of both players, who have struggled to break into Chelsea’s first team under Enzo Maresca.

Dewsbury-Hall’s Uncertain Future

Despite Maresca’s acknowledgement that “anything can happen” with Dewsbury-Hall’s future, the 26-year-old’s limited playing time suggests he may be surplus to requirements.

With only 55 minutes of Premier League action across five outings, Dewsbury-Hall appears to be at least fourth in the pecking order, and his prospects of regular football seem bleak.

Chukwuemeka’s Loan Exit Likely

Carney Chukwuemeka, on the other hand, has featured in 130 minutes of cup competitions, but Maresca is keen for the 21-year-old to gain regular football experience.

With Chelsea reportedly insisting on a £40m release clause, a loan exit seems the most likely option for Chukwuemeka.

West Ham’s Transfer Priorities

West Ham United, struggling to save Julen Lopetegui’s job, are targeting a range of players to bolster their squad.

Dewsbury-Hall and Chukwuemeka would add creative depth, but the Hammers are also seeking replacements for injured duo Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio.

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Hwang Hee-chan and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson are reportedly on their radar, with loans being the priority due to their significant summer transfer outlay.
