Liverpool have reportedly initiated talks with Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong, as they seek to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The England international is set to join Real Madrid this summer, leaving a void in the Reds’ squad.
Frimpong’s Profile and Suitability
Frimpong, a Netherlands international, has impressed with his attacking prowess, scoring four goals and providing 11 assists in 40 appearances for Leverkusen.

While he often plays on the right side of a midfield four, Liverpool envision him operating as a right-back in Arne Slot’s side.
Competition for Frimpong’s Signature
Liverpool may face competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City, who are also reportedly interested in Frimpong’s services.
However, the Reds have moved into pole position to sign the 24-year-old, who has a €40m (£33.4m) release clause in his Leverkusen contract.
Conor Bradley’s Opportunity
While Liverpool are exploring external options, academy product Conor Bradley will also have the chance to stake his claim as Alexander-Arnold’s long-term successor.
