Manchester United on the brink of Ugarte signing

The Red Devil’s are close on a deal to bring in Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan, with plans to make the move permanent.

According to the Manchester Evening News, negotiations with PSG have advanced, and the deal is now imminent.

Instead of a straight permanent transfer, Ugarte will join Manchester United on a loan deal.

This means Scott McTominay can stay at the club, while the Red Devils remain open to offers for Casemiro and Christian Eriksen.

Ugarte struggles at PSG began despite initial regular playing time under Head Coach Luis Enrique. Concerns over his possession weaknesses led to him losing his place in the team.

Talks between Manchester United and PSG have been ongoing for some time.

The French club hopes to recoup most of the £51 million invested in Ugarte last summer.

At Manchester United, Ugarte will work alongside young star Kobbie Mainoo to strengthen the midfield.

The Uruguayan midfielder will aim to revive his career and prove himself in the Premier League.
