Manchester City Transfer News: Eintracht Frankfurt Confirm Omar Marmoush Talks Amid Man City Link

Eintracht Frankfurt have officially announced that Omar Marmoush is in discussions with another club regarding a potential transfer, fueling speculation that the Egyptian forward is bound for Manchester City.

The 25-year-old was noticeably absent from Frankfurt’s squad for their Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund on Friday, sparking rumors that his move to the Etihad Stadium is imminent.

Marmoush’s Impressive Form Sparks Premier League Interest

Marmoush has been in scintillating form this season, amassing 20 goals and 14 assists from just 26 appearances.

His impressive performances have caught the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Arsenal, who were both reportedly interested in signing him.

However, Manchester City have emerged as the frontrunners to secure his signature, with a verbal agreement reportedly in place.

Frankfurt CEO Confirms Contact from Manchester City

Eintracht Frankfurt CEO Markus Krosche revealed last week that a team had made contact with his side regarding a potential winter deal for Marmoush.

While the initial bid was rejected, Manchester City have apparently returned with an improved offer, which includes a total fee of €80m (£67.6m) if all add-ons are met.

Manchester City’s January Transfer Plans

If Manchester City successfully completes the signing of Marmoush, he could be one of three big-money additions at the Etihad Stadium this month.

The Citizens are also reportedly close to signing Lens centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov, whose work permit has been approved.
