Manchester United attacker Antony has dropped a significant hint that he will not be returning to Old Trafford this summer, suggesting that he is keen to make his loan move to Real Betis permanent.
The Brazilian forward has excelled in Spain, scoring four goals and registering four assists in 11 appearances for the La Liga club.
Antony’s Desire for a Permanent Stay
In a recent interview with DAZN, Antony expressed his gratitude to Manchester United and Erik ten Hag but emphasized his happiness in Spain.
“My mind is here, and I’m very happy. I found myself, I needed to find myself and be happy. I needed my family to be happy too,” he said.
Antony also praised the city of Seville, highlighting its similarities to Brazil and his preference for the lifestyle.
Ruben Amorim’s Comments
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim recently suggested that Antony lacks the physicality to succeed in the Premier League.

However, Antony’s agent, Junior Pedroso, disagreed with Amorim’s assessment, calling it “superficial” and not reflective of reality.
Transfer Implications
Antony’s impressive form for Real Betis has put Manchester United in a strong position to negotiate a transfer fee.
With the Brazilian forward seemingly keen to stay in Spain, a permanent transfer appears increasingly likely.
