Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly on the verge of a £42m transfer to Atletico Madrid, with the Argentina international having reached a verbal agreement with the La Liga giants.
The 20-year-old, who joined Manchester United from Atletico’s youth system in 2020, has struggled to find form this season, scoring just three goals in 26 Premier League appearances.

Garnacho has made 128 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 23 goals and registering 16 assists.
However, his recent performances have been underwhelming, and he has reportedly become frustrated with his role in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system.
The attacker’s best work has come from a wide position, but he has been asked to operate as a number 10, which has not suited his playing style.
Atletico Madrid’s Interest in Garnacho
Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone is believed to be a big fan of Garnacho, and he sees the youngster as the perfect player to complement Julian Alvarez in the final third.
