Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has provided a welcome update on the fitness of Oscar Bobb, confirming that the 21-year-old attacker is in contention to feature in Wednesday’s Champions League showdown against Club Brugge.
Bobb’s Long-Awaited Return
Bobb has been sidelined since August after suffering a leg fracture in training. However, the Norway international has been gradually building up his fitness since returning to partial training earlier this month.
Guardiola’s Fitness Update
Providing an update on his squad at a press conference on Tuesday, Guardiola said: “The guys who were there against Chelsea are there and I think Oscar came back as well.”
The Catalan manager also confirmed that defender John Stones, who recently recovered from injury, is available for selection.

Injury Update: Who’s In and Who’s Out?
Manchester City will be without Jeremy Doku, Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake, and Rodri due to injury. Additionally, new signings Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Vitor Reis are ineligible to feature in the Champions League at this stage.
The Stakes: Man City’s Champions League Hopes Hanging in the Balance
Manchester City must beat Club Brugge to secure a last-16 playoff place. The Citizens are currently in the elimination zone, having accumulated just eight points from their seven matches.
A win on Wednesday would revive their hopes of progressing to the knockout rounds.
