Pulisic Warned Against Giving Up AC Milan Penalties After Missed Chances vs Fiorentina

Christian Pulisic has been warned not to leave AC Milan’s penalty shootout, manager Paulo Fonseca says of the USMNT star.

The Rossoneri scored another stunning goal for their American attacker in their last Serie A game – with Pulisic equalizing the away trip to Fiorentina by connecting brilliantly with the volley. The effort reached the hour mark, but Milan lost the match 2-1.

They had chances to take the three points before going down to 10 men late on as Theo Hernandez and Tommy Abraham missed penalties on either side of the break. Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea saved both of those attempts.

Pulisic is considered to be Milan’s best man and Fonsesa told reporters after watching his team shout to themselves: “Our striker is Pulisic, I don’t know why The players changed their minds. I told him not to do it again.

Fonseca described the spot-kick saga as a “circus” and his Milan side looked like clowns. Pulisic converted from 12 yards in the 4-0 win over Venezia in September and will likely do the same next time the Rossoneri are awarded a penalty.
