Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that striker Dominic Solanke will be sidelined for six weeks due to a knee injury.
The 27-year-old twisted his knee in training, forcing him to miss the 3-2 defeat at Everton and the 3-2 Europa League win against Hoffenheim.
Postecoglou Provides Update on Solanke’s Injury
Speaking after the Hoffenheim match, Postecoglou revealed that Solanke’s injury will not require surgery, but he will still face a significant spell on the sidelines.
“With Dom, the information now is around the six-week mark. No surgery, but we’re looking at around six weeks. It might be quicker, but we’ll see.”
A Blow to Spurs’ Already Lengthy Injury List
Solanke’s injury adds to Tottenham’s growing injury concerns, with the club’s medical team already dealing with a double-digit list of casualties.

Postecoglou acknowledged the unfortunate timing of Solanke’s injury, saying, “It was just one of those things. It wasn’t like it was even a challenge; it was just him trying to shoot and twisting his knee.”
*How Will Spurs Cope Without Solanke?*
With Solanke set to miss around five or six Premier League games, including the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-final against Liverpool, Tottenham will need to rely on other attacking options.
Fortunately, the return of Richarlison from injury has been well-timed, with the Brazilian international scoring against Everton on Sunday.
Captain Son Heung-min is also an experienced option through the middle, and his confidence will be boosted after scoring two goals against Hoffenheim.
Next Up for Spurs: Leicester City
Tottenham will host Leicester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, seeking to move away from their precarious position in 15th place.
With Solanke out and other injuries still a concern, Postecoglou will need to rally his squad and find a way to secure crucial points in the Premier League.
