Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has provided an update on Dominic Solanke’s injury status after the striker was forced off the field in their 1-0 Europa League defeat to AZ Alkmaar.
Solanke, who made his first appearance since January 15, was substituted in the 72nd minute but lasted only 20 minutes before being taken off again following a collision with AZ goalkeeper Rome Jayden Owusu-Oduro.

Despite dominating possession, Tottenham failed to create clear-cut chances against AZ Alkmaar, with Postecoglou attributing the defeat to a lack of aggression.
“I don’t think it’s a matter of effort or attitude… but we didn’t really come to grips and have the right mindset to tackle an away fixture in Europe,” he said.
Suspension Blow for Tottenham Ahead of Second Leg
Tottenham’s task in the second leg has been made more challenging with the suspension of Rodrigo Bentancur, who picked up his third Europa League yellow card of the season. Pape Sarr or Yves Bissouma are likely to deputize for the banned Uruguayan in the return fixture.
