Tottenham are back in the Champions League after a two-year absence and arguably never better positioned to succeed.
Spurs, beaten finalists in 2019, have added the likes of past winner Ivan Perisic to their ranks, and have serial winner Antonio Conte in charge.
However, Conte’s record in Europe is a rare weak spot on his CV and has failed to get out of the group stage, with Inter Milan, in his last two attempts.
