Marcus Rashford Set to Join Aston Villa on Loan with £40m Purchase Option

Aston Villa are on the verge of signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford on loan until the end of the season, with a £40m purchase option included in the deal.

Loan Deal Details

According to reports, Rashford will undergo a medical with Villa on Sunday, paving the way for his loan move to the Midlands club.

Villa will cover a significant portion of Rashford’s £325,000-a-week wages, with Manchester United contributing 25% (£81,250) of his salary.

Permanent Transfer Option

The loan deal includes a £40m purchase option, allowing Villa to sign Rashford permanently at the end of the season.

This clause provides Villa with flexibility and control over Rashford’s future.

Rashford’s Manchester United Future
Rashford’s loan move to Villa marks the end of his Manchester United career under current manager Ruben Amorim.

The forward has not featured for the Red Devils since December 12 and has allegedly been told he will not play for the club again while Amorim is in charge.

Replacement Options for Manchester United

Manchester United are exploring options to replace Rashford, with Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel, Villa’s Leon Bailey, and Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku reportedly on the club’s radar.

Rashford’s Villa Debut

Rashford is expected to make his Villa debut in the coming weeks, although he may initially be used as a substitute due to his lack of match fitness.

Villa’s FA Cup fourth-round tie against Tottenham Hotspur on February 11 could be Rashford’s first opportunity to feature for his new club.
