Manchester United have officially announced that Tyrell Malacia has joined Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven on loan for the remainder of the season.
The move comes after Malacia struggled to break into Ruben Amorim’s plans following his return from injury in November.
Malacia’s Struggles at Manchester United
Malacia made just five starts in nine competitive matches, with only three of those appearances coming in the Premier League.
The arrival of Danish full-back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce further threatened Malacia’s playing time, leading to speculation about his future at Old Trafford.
PSV Eindhoven Secure Malacia’s Services
After a proposed loan switch to Benfica fell through, PSV Eindhoven emerged as the frontrunners to secure Malacia’s services.

The Dutch transfer window remained open until Tuesday, allowing Malacia to complete his move to PSV despite the English transfer deadline passing on Monday.
Loan Deal Details and Future Implications
Although Malacia’s initial move is a loan deal, PSV Eindhoven have the option to make the transfer permanent for €10m (£8.3m) at the end of the season.
Manchester United have included a 30% sell-on clause in the deal, while PSV will cover all of Malacia’s wages during his loan spell.
Malacia’s Ambitions at PSV Eindhoven
Following his arrival at Philips Stadion, Malacia expressed his desire to win silverware with PSV Eindhoven.
“I am happy to be here,” Malacia told the PSV website. “Finally playing football again. I am coming back from a long injury, but I am now fit and know that my time will come again.”
