Chelsea are reportedly devising a plan to sign Nottingham Forest’s highly-rated defender Murillo in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old Brazilian has been a key player in Forest’s surprise push for the Premier League title and Champions League football.
Chelsea’s Initial Bid Rejected
The Blues made a significant bid for Murillo in January, which would have made him Forest’s most expensive departure of all time.
However, Forest rejected the offer, with the player ultimately signing a new long-term contract until 2029.
Chelsea’s Summer Transfer Plans
Despite the initial rejection, Chelsea remain keen on signing Murillo and have devised a new plan to secure his signature in the summer.

The Blues are aware that a deal will be challenging to complete, but they have not given up hope.
Alternative Transfer Targets
If Chelsea fail to sign Murillo, they may turn their attention to alternative center-back targets. Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi, who spent 14 years at Chelsea’s academy, is one option.
The Blues are reportedly confident of beating Tottenham Hotspur to Guehi’s signature. Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen is another young defender on Chelsea’s radar.
Chelsea’s Transfer Budget
Chelsea’s owner has reportedly given the club a “limitless” transfer budget, allowing them to pursue top targets like Murillo.
However, Forest’s asking price for the defender is expected to be high, with a valuation of over £50m likely.
