Liverpool have reportedly stepped up their efforts to sign RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons, who is valued at £67m, as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.
The 21-year-old Dutchman has been in impressive form for Leipzig, scoring eight goals and registering five assists in 25 appearances this season.
Simons’ Impressive Record
Simons has a total of 18 goals and 19 assists in 68 matches for Leipzig, and has also represented the Netherlands 25 times, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
His impressive record has caught the attention of several top clubs, including Manchester United and Bayern Munich.

Simons’ ability to operate in a wide area or as a number 10 could make him an ideal signing for the Reds.
Liverpool are expected to move for a couple of new attackers this summer, with Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota potentially being allowed to leave.
Simons’ Potential Impact at Liverpool
Simons could bring much-needed creativity to Liverpool’s attack, which has been reliant on Salah’s goals this season.
His ability to score and provide assists from a central area could make him a key player for the Reds.
However, Simons will not come cheap, and Liverpool will face competition from other top clubs for his signature.
