Aston Villa And Unai Emery Agree On Contract Extension Until 2029

Unai Emery has signed a new five-year contract extension, ensuring his stay at Aston Villa until 2029, the club announced on Monday.

Under Emery’s Aston Villa secured a fourth-place finish in the Premier League last season and qualified for the Champions League for the first time since the 1982-83 season.

This marks their inaugural appearance in the competition since it was rebranded from the European Cup.

“I am very happy to take this step and the responsibility of leading this club,” Emery said.

“There’s a great chemistry in Aston Villa. And the element of the fans’ support also makes the difference to feel like home.

We are really excited to continue this journey with no limits to our dreams.”

The former Arsenal and Sevilla manager led Villa to qualification for Europe last season,

where they played in the third-tier Europa Conference League, losing in the semifinals to Olympiacos.
