Aston Villa have completed the loan signing of Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, with the England international joining the Villans for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.
Loan Deal Details
According to reports, Villa will cover 75% of Rashford’s £325,000-a-week salary, with the potential for this figure to rise to 90% depending on certain bonuses.

The deal also includes an option for Villa to sign Rashford on a permanent basis for £40m during the summer transfer window.
Rashford’s Manchester United Departure
Rashford’s loan move to Villa marks the end of his Manchester United career, at least for the time being.
The forward had not played for the Red Devils since December 12, having been overlooked by manager Ruben Amorim due to his performances in training and general demeanor around the club.
Potential Debut Date
Rashford’s lack of match action in recent weeks means that he may not be immediately thrust into Villa’s starting lineup.
However, he could potentially make his debut in Villa’s FA Cup fourth-round tie against Tottenham Hotspur next Sunday, with his first Premier League appearance for the club possibly coming against Ipswich Town on February 15.
Manchester United’s Transfer Plans
Manchester United are reportedly seeking to bring in an attacker before the transfer deadline, with Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel a target.
However, their hopes of signing Tel have allegedly taken a hit, leaving the Red Devils to explore alternative options.
