Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo has been linked with a potential move to Juventus in January, with the Catalan giants reportedly rejecting an opening offer from the Italian club.
Araujo’s contract is set to expire in June 2026, and negotiations over a potential extension have stalled, leading to speculation about his future.
Juventus Face Challenge in Meeting Barcelona’s Valuation
According to Mundo Deportivo, Juventus’ initial offer for Araujo was swiftly rejected by Barcelona, who are holding out for a fee of €70m (£59m).

Meeting this valuation could be a challenge for Juventus, unless they are able to offload one of their current players to free up funds.
Araujo’s Future at Barcelona Uncertain
Araujo has only made one appearance this season, playing 90 minutes in Barcelona’s Copa del Rey clash against Barbastro.
He has also been an unused substitute in recent matches, sparking speculation about his future at the club.
Araujo has expressed his desire to stay at Barcelona, but the club’s financial situation and the player’s own contractual situation have cast doubt on his long-term future.
Other Clubs Monitoring Araujo’s Situation
Arsenal, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich are also reportedly keeping a close eye on Araujo’s situation, although there is no indication that any of these clubs are planning to make a move for the player in January.
Juventus, however, appear to be the most serious suitors, and it remains to be seen whether they will launch a fresh bid for the Uruguayan defender.
