Bayern Munich has reportedly given Joshua Kimmich an ultimatum to decide on his future, with the Arsenal-linked midfielder facing a contract deadline.
According to Bild, Kimmich has until next Wednesday to indicate his willingness to sign a new deal, or risk being shown the door.
Kimmich’s Contract Saga
Kimmich, 30, entered the final six months of his contract at the Allianz Arena in January, allowing him to discuss pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs.
Bayern Munich initially offered Kimmich a three-year extension until 2028, but withdrew the offer due to his hesitation

The Germany international allegedly had second thoughts about signing due to interest from Premier League and foreign clubs.
Arsenal’s Interest in Kimmich
Arsenal has expressed concrete interest in signing Kimmich on a free transfer, with talks already underway with his entourage.
Mikel Arteta views Kimmich as a cost-effective solution to replace potential departures Thomas Partey and Jorginho.
However, Arsenal is also pursuing a £51m deal for Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.
Other Suitors for Kimmich’s Signature
Manchester City and Liverpool are also eyeing Kimmich, but as a right-back rather than a midfielder.
City wants a fresh face to replace Kyle Walker, while Liverpool needs a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold if he joins Real Madrid.
Los Blancos could also target Kimmich if Alexander-Arnold stays at Liverpool, while Barcelona has been linked with an interest in the Germany international.
Kimmich’s Future Hangs in the Balance
Kimmich’s decision will have significant implications for his future. If he chooses to stay at Bayern Munich, he can expect to sign a new deal on similar or reduced terms.
However, if he decides to leave, he will have several top-tier clubs vying for his signature.
