Fan violence led to the interruption of the FA Cup tie between West Brom and Wolves for over 30 minutes, resulting in five arrests, as confirmed by the police.
The incident occurred during the first Black Country derby in front of fans in 12 years, triggered by Wolves’ Matheus Cunha scoring in the 78th minute.
Supporters could be seen fighting each other, while a section of fans invaded the pitch.
Police and stewards desperately looked to get the situation under control, with referee Thomas Bramall calling a halt to proceedings in the 83rd minute.
Both sets of players then headed down the tunnel, with Baggies defender Kyle Bartley seen with his child in his hands.

An FA statement following the match read:
“The disorder that occurred at Black Country derby between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers is completely unacceptable.
“Safety and security are of the utmost importance, and the behaviour of those involved is dangerous and inexcusable.
“We will be investigating these serious incidents alongside the clubs and the relevant authorities, and the appropriate action will be taken.”
West Midlands Police confirmed that five people have been arrested, with another arrested prior to the game on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon.
“Five people have now been arrested for public order offences relating to the disorder in the ground.
“Another man was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon prior to the match outside of the ground.”
