Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder have reached an agreement to face off on March 9 in Saudi Arabia, pending their unscathed performance in tests scheduled for December 23.
This anticipated clash between the heavyweight rivals is set to headline a thrilling card in Riyadh just before Christmas,
featuring Joshua against Otto Wallin and Wilder against former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker.
Saudi boxing officials, openly keen on hosting Joshua vs. Wilder, have confirmed the March date following ESPN’s report.

This follows the highly anticipated undisputed title fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, also slated for Saudi Arabia on February 17.
All four major belts will be on the line with WBC champion Fury and IBF, WBO and WBA king Usyk meet to crown the division’s first sole champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.
Joshua and Wilder aim to position themselves for a potential clash against the victor later in 2024, yet significant challenges lie ahead for both fighters.
Joshua, the former Olympian, is set to battle Swedish heavyweight Wallin, known for giving Fury a significant challenge during their 2019 bout.
‘The Gypsy King’ needed 47 stitches after Wallin opened up a cut above his right eye.
Wilder meanwhile takes on former world champion Parker.
The New Zealander has recorded three wins in an impressive year, most recently knocking out Simon Kean on the Fury vs Francis Ngannou card in October.
