Kaiserslautern vs Bayer Leverkusen the outcome was in favor of away side.

Leverkusen won the DFB-Pokal with a 1-0 victory over Kaiserslautern, thanks to a stunning goal by Granit Xhaka.

Despite playing over half the match with ten men after Odilon Kossounou was sent off, Leverkusen secured another trophy.

Just two minutes of the match, Bayer Leverkusen advance and place a dangerous ball into their opponent’s box, but Kaiserslautern manage to clear it.

Kossounou barges into Redondo as Kaiserslautern threaten on the counterattack, earning a booking before Hanslik sends in a free-kick that Bayer barely deals with.

Frimpong goes on a solo run up the right-hand side, darts into the area, and turns his marker, but his shot is routine for Krahl at the near post.

Nice play by Leverkusen results in Grimaldo cutting the ball back to Schick, who is denied a near-certain goal by a last-ditch Tomiak block.

Wirtz drives into the box with defenders lunging at his feet, forcing Krahl into a save, and Frimpong heads the rebound wide.

GOAL: Xhaka thunders Leverkusen in front with a rocket from over 20 yards out after Kaiserslautern fail to clear the ball, marking his first DFB Cup goal.

Grimaldo clips the ball to the left of the advancing Krahl, but Schick’s attempt to turn it into the open net is superbly blocked by Tomiak.

A long ball for Kaiserslautern finds Hanslik, who is judged to have fouled Frimpong with a nudge to his back.
