Lewis Hamilton has proven his doubters wrong with a dominant win in the Chinese GP Sprint race, his first victory with Ferrari.
This comes after a disappointing 10th-place finish in Australia last week, which left him feeling downbeat about his new car.
Hamilton’s win was a statement performance, showcasing his skill and adaptability as he led from start to finish, securing an eight-point haul in the Drivers’ Championship.

The 40-year-old Briton’s victory was all the more impressive given the strong competition from rival Max Verstappen, who started alongside him on the front row.
A Response to Critics
Hamilton took aim at his critics after the race, saying: “I really do feel a lot of people underestimated the steep climb it is to get into a new team…
The amount of people I heard yapping away maybe because they haven’t done it and don’t have the experience”.
Qualifying for Sunday’s Grand Prix
Hamilton will start Sunday’s Grand Prix from fifth on the grid, a respectable position given the fanfare surrounding his Sprint win.
However, it was McLaren’s Oscar Piastri who took pole position, finishing 0.082 seconds ahead of Mercedes driver George Russell.
