Manchester United are reportedly preparing to launch a fresh bid for Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite this summer, with a £50m offer on the table.
The Red Devils were unsuccessful in their attempts to sign the 22-year-old last year, but are set to try again as they look to strengthen their defensive options.
Branthwaite’s Impressive Form
Branthwaite has been in impressive form for Everton this season, making 25 appearances and helping the Toffees push for a top-half finish in the Premier League.
His performances have caught the attention of several top clubs, including Real Madrid, who are also interested in signing him.
Manchester United’s Centre-Back Options
While Manchester United have a number of centre-back options, including Ayden Heaven, Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, and Matthijs de Ligt, they are still keen to add Branthwaite to their squad.
With Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans set to leave Old Trafford on free transfers this summer, and Martinez out for the remainder of the year with a serious knee injury, a new centre-back could be a priority for the Red Devils.
