Oleksandr Zinchenko has agreed a four-year contract with Arsenal ahead of his prospective move to north London.
Arsenal are looking to improve their midfield options and Zinchenko wants to play in his more natural position, having largely featured as a left back at the Etihad.
Terms over his contract at the Emirates are agreed in principle as the two sides continue to move towards the conclusion of the deal.

The transfer is set to be worth in excess of £30m with further add-ons.
Arsenal have batted off a number of other sides to move into pole position for Zinchenko, with the likes of Juventus, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.
Further movement on the deal came after Manchester United signed Lisandro Martinez, who was a target for Mikel Arteta.
Zinchenko joins Gabriel Jesus in swapping Manchester City for Arsenal this summer, with the Brazilian taking to life with the Gunners in fine style.
With the Ukrainian departing, Guardiola and City will move to find a replacement, with Brighton star Marc Cucurella at the top of their list.
