FOOTBALL TRANSFER GOSSIP:

  • Marcus Rashford has put his contract negotiations with Manchester United on hold until there is further clarity regarding the ownership of the club.

 

  • Thomas Tuchel is set to return to management with Bayern Munich after the German champions reportedly parted ways with Julian Nagelsmann.

 

  • Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle United are considering a summer move for Juventus’ 19-year-old English winger Samuel Iling-Junior.
  • Arsenal have joined Leeds, AC Milan and Sevilla in the race for Barcelona and Spain Under-19 international Ilias Akhomach, 18.

 

  • Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has blamed the previous Blues regime for sanctioning the change to a tribute for club legend Ray Wilkins which featured in an episode of Ted Lasso and supporters labelled ‘disrespectful’.
