Cristiano Ronaldo has launched his YouTube channel, “UR Cristiano,” and it’s an instant success.
The Portugal international uploaded 19 videos featuring himself and his family, and millions of subscribers signed up within hours.
Within 90 minutes, Ronaldo’s channel broke the world record for the fastest channel to reach 1 million subscribers.
He now has 15.4 million subscribers and counting.
Ronaldo shared a heartwarming video on Instagram, showing his children a gold “play button” plaque from YouTube for surpassing 1 million subscribers.
Ronaldo wrote:
“The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey.”
“A present for my family ❤️ Thank you to all the SIUUUbscribers!”
Former Manchester United star impressive YouTube debut is just the latest in his social media success. He has 170 million followers on Facebook, 112.6 million on X, and 636 million on Instagram.
While Ronaldo has surpassed Lionel Messi’s subscriber count of 2.31 million, he still has a way to go to reach Mr. Beast, the top-subscribed YouTuber with 331 million subscribers.
