Fiorentina striker Moise Kean was hospitalized after collapsing on the pitch and sustaining a head injury during his team’s 1-0 defeat to Hellas Verona on Sunday.
The Incident
Kean, 24, was involved in a collision with defender Pawel Dawidowicz in the 58th minute, hitting his head against the player’s knee.
Despite receiving treatment and returning to the pitch, Kean lost his balance and fell to the ground six minutes later, prompting players from both teams to alert medics.
Kean’s Resurgence This Season
The former Everton and Juventus forward has experienced a remarkable resurgence this season, scoring 15 league goals for Fiorentina, his highest tally in a single campaign.

Kean has averaged 0.79 goals and assists per 90 minutes in Serie A, leading Fiorentina’s charge for European qualification.
Fiorentina’s European Ambitions
With 42 points, Fiorentina are sixth in the Serie A table, seven points behind fourth-placed Juventus.
While Kean’s health is the top priority, his absence could impact Fiorentina’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League.
Head Injury Concerns
Given the seriousness of head injuries, Kean’s health is of paramount importance.
The striker should be given all the time he needs to recover, and his well-being should take precedence over Fiorentina’s European ambitions.
