Arsenal Receives A Double Injury Boost With The Imminent Return Of Oleksandr Zinchenko And Thomas Partey

Arsenal injury boost

Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey are aiming to increase their training intensity this week in a bid to be included in the squad for Arsenal’s upcoming fixture against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Both players are eager to make their comebacks and contribute to the team’s efforts.

The Gunners have a clear week off before they go to South Yorkshire and that is expected to be plenty of time to get the Ukrainian and the Ghanaian back to fitness and be available to make the trip north.

It has been a long time on the sidelines for Partey who has been out since October with a serious thigh problem.

Zinchenko has been out of action since the start of February due to a calf injury suffered in the win over Liverpool.

Arsenal have been in good form in their absence, winning six Premier League games on the spin, although they did lose to Porto in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.

The Premier League trip to Sheffield United is followed by hosting Brentford on 9 March and then the all-important home clash with Porto three days later.

Arsenal’s injury list is looking encouragingly short at a crucial part of the season, with only Takeiro Tomiyasu and Jurrien Timber remaining out when Zinchenko and Partey return.

Tomiyasu is closing in on a return from a calf injury but is not expected to be ready next week, while there is still some hope that Timber will play again this season.

The squad have been given Sunday and Monday off after playing Porto and Newcastle in the space of four days last week.
