Arsenal Injury Updates: Boost As Gabriel Jesus Passes Fitness

Arsenal have been boosted after Gabriel Jesus was passed fit to face Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday following his head injury against Liverpool.

Jesus was caught by an elbow from Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas and underwent lengthy treatment on the pitch.

The Brazilian eventually got to his feet and carried on before he was replaced late on by Eddie Nketiah.

Arsenal have assessed Jesus this week and the in-form striker has not suffered a concussion and is available for the away trip to Bodo/Glimt.

The news is a major boost for the Gunners, who also have a big game away at Leeds on Sunday when the Premier League leaders will bid to continue their fine start to the season.

But Arsenal still have concerns over Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is unlikely to be fit to face Bodo/Glimt as he continues to deal with a calf injury.

The left-back missed last week’s games against Bodo/Glimt and Liverpool, and he is not expected to return in Norway tomorrow night.

Arsenal will continue to assess Zinchenko ahead of the Leeds game at the weekend.

Manager Mikel Arteta made eight changes for last week’s 3-0 win over Bodo/Glimt at Emirates Stadium and he will likely make a similar number on Thursday.

Left-back Kieran Tierney should come into the side, along with Fabio Vieira and Rob Holding.

Arsenal have made a perfect start in the Europa League, winning their first two games to sit top of Group A.
