Bournemouth vs Luton match came to an abrupt halt when Hatters defender Tom Lockyer collapsed on the field, leading to the game’s abandonment.
At the midpoint of the second half, both teams were withdrawn from the field while Lockyer underwent necessary medical attention.
The game stood at 1-1 around the hour mark when the 29-year-old suddenly fell, seemingly without anyone nearby.
After a few minutes, he was stretchered off, receiving applause from all sides of the stadium.

Later reports from the venue indicated that the 29-year-old defender was “awake and responding.”
Lockyer experienced a collapse during the play-off final against Coventry in May and was immediately hospitalized.
He underwent heart surgery and received medical clearance to resume playing in June.
Following the confirmation of the match abandonment, both Luton and Bournemouth players reappeared on the field to show appreciation to the fans with a round of applause.
Luton tweeted: “We are all with you, Locks.”
The Premier League said in a statement:
“The match between AFC Bournemouth and Luton Town FC has been abandoned due to a player medical incident.
“Our thoughts are with Tom Lockyer and all players involved in today’s match.”
