Haaland miss Luton vs man city

Erling Haaland, Manchester City’s striker, will be absent for their Premier League clash against Luton Town this afternoon.

The ex-Dortmund star striker has featured in all 15 of Manchester City‘s Premier League matches this season, netting 14 goals.

However, he won’t participate in the clash against the Hatters, as per The Athletic.

The club hasn’t confirmed Haaland’s absence reason yet, ahead of the 2pm kick-off at Luton.

Manchester City‘s squad is otherwise in good form, with only Kevin De Bruyne confirmed to be out due to injury.

Jeremy Doku has been dealing with a minor muscular injury and could be back on Sunday at Kenilworth Road, although may not be risked.

Despite the absence of the Premier League’s leading scorer, Manchester City remains the clear favorites to secure a win against Luton, aiming to narrow the gap to league-leaders Liverpool to just four points.

While a victory won’t alter City’s current position, firmly holding fourth place, it would significantly tighten the competition at the congested top four,

which includes Arsenal and Aston Villa, leaving only four points between the teams.
