Marcus Rashford's Manchester United Future in Jeopardy as Ruben Amorim Issues Damning Verdict

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has delivered a scathing assessment of Marcus Rashford’s current situation at the club, suggesting that the forward’s lack of effort in training is the primary reason for his ongoing absence.

Amorim’s Blunt Comments

Amorim’s remarks came after Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Fulham on Sunday, a match Rashford did not attend due to his continued exclusion from the squad.

When questioned about Rashford’s status, Amorim stated, “It is the same situation. If things don’t change, I will not change.

I will put (Jorge) Vital (United goalkeeper coach) before I put a player who does not give the maximum every day.”

Rashford’s Future Uncertain

Rashford’s future at Manchester United remains uncertain, with the 27-year-old linked to several top European clubs, including Barcelona and Juventus.

However, his substantial wages, reportedly £315,000 per week, complicate a potential exit, even on loan.

Rashford is believed to be willing to take a pay cut to join Barcelona, but the Catalan club must first free up space in their budget.

Amorim Hails “Really Important” Win

Amorim praised the victory over Fulham, secured by Lisandro Martinez’s deflected effort, as “really important” for the team’s morale and momentum.

He acknowledged that the performance was not perfect but emphasized the significance of winning and accumulating points.

Manchester United’s Upcoming Fixtures

Manchester United will conclude their Europa League group-stage campaign with a match against FCSB on Thursday before hosting Crystal Palace in the Premier League next Sunday.
